Past 2018 Chrysalis Conversations Speakers:
Jackie Norris with Emily Price – The Possibilities Are Endless

We’re pleased to announce that Jackie Norris, American political aide, educator, and corporate strategist, will be our Chrysalis Conversations speaker on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Norris will be joined by Emily Price, executive director of Healthy Birth Day, former KCCI news anchor, and good friend to Jackie. Norris and Price will dialogue about Norris’ experiences that have helped her to weave passion with profession enabling her even more possibilities.

Throughout her career, Jackie Norris has been deeply involved in women’s causes. Her years of experience in academia, politics, public service, and volunteerism have included positions in the classroom (teaching high school government), the White House (serving as chief of staff for Michelle Obama), and on the soccer field (coaching her son’s team). Ms. Norris chronicled her professional experience as 2009 Chrysalis INSPIRED Event keynote speaker.

Rowena Crosbie – Your Invisible Toolbox

Please join us on Wednesday, April 25, for our Conversation Speaker Series featuring Rowena Crosbie.

Few understand the dynamics of the corporate world like Rowena Crosbie. In the era of worldwide connections, smartphones, texting, Instagram, and Facebook, she recognized the new demands of today’s workplace. Sharing insights from her new book (co-authored with Deborah Rinner), Your invisible Toolbox: The Technological Ups and Interpersonal Downs of the Millennial Generation, Ms. Crosbie will deliver her refreshingly practical advice on how the newest generations approach work and life, and ways we can create our own “toolbox” in an increasingly complex world.

Jennie Baranczyk – Take A Time Out

We’re excited to announce that Jennie Baranczyk will be our Chrysalis Conversations speaker on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

By high school graduation, it was obvious this Dowling Catholic basketball standout was exceptional. Jennie (Lillis) Baranczyk became one of the first generation of female AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball players, and repeated her championship performance at the University of Iowa before her coaching career led her to Drake University. Bringing a culture of excellence in her student-athletes (including record-setting seasons), Coach Baranczyk’s broad philosophy is “Be where your feet are, enjoy each moment, and be present.” Hear how she expects – and exhibits – accountability in all areas of her life, and how her life is reflected in others.
